St Helen’s Farm probiotic goats’ milk yogurt is made in a unique way that means we can retain all the goodness contained in fresh milk without the need for any added ingredients.
The fresh milk is put through a special filtration process that takes out some of the water from the milk and effectively concentrates the milk and helps to thicken it.
Once we ferment the milk and add the live cultures it thickens naturally and means that we do not need to add any thickeners such as starches and gums you find in many yogurts. Neither do we add any sugar because any sweetness comes naturally from the milk.
In fact, it takes 2 litres of fresh farm milk to make a single litre of yogurt, which is a good reason why it tastes so deliciously creamy!
Many people make up their own flavours by mixing fresh or dried fruit and nuts into natural yogurt.

Our goats’ milk yogurt is live and made with Lactobacillus bulgaricus, Streptococcus thermophilus and probiotic cultures Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium lactis. These beneficial bacteria can help maintain a healthy digestive system.
