Goats' milk packed fresh every day for distribution to supermarkets throughout the country
News : Turbine powers the farm and dairy
Our many months of planning have come to an end - we are now generating our own electricity at the farm. This means we are now operating the milking parlour and the dairy with energy provided by our wind turbine that is powered by the frequent winds that blow across the Vale of York!
It will help reduce our carbon footprint, of course, and ensure that we are a 'greener' producer of goats' milk than we were before. Not that our goats will notice, of course. They will still provide us with a plentiful supply of fresh, mild tasting milk, just like they have always done...
If you would like to see more pictures of the turbine and its' construction, please visit the gallery on our website home page.
