Rice Pudding

Our rice pudding combines subtle spice and citrus. Perfect all the way through the cold months.


  • 750ml St Helen's Farm Goats Milk (we used whole milk)
  • 100g Pudding rice
  • 75g caster sugar
  • 25g St Helen's Farm Butter - soft
  • Grated rind 1 orange or satsuma (reserving a little for serving)
  • Grated nutmeg

Preparation time 10 mins

Cooking time 2 hours

Serves 4-6


Wash and drain rice.

Grease a 1.5 litre oven proof dish with all the butter, stir together milk, rice, sugar and orange rind.

Sprinkle with nutmeg.

Bake at 150C/ Fan 130C/Gas Mark 2 for approx. 2 hours until thick, creamy and golden brown on top.

Serve topped with sprinkling of orange rind.
