
Turmeric and Nigella Seed Naan Bread
This recipe for delicious turmeric and nigella seed naan breads is quick, easy and packed with incredible flavour. We absolutely love this recipe, once you’ve tried it, you’ll never want to buy a shop bought naan again!
Ingredients:
200g self-raising flour
1 tablespoon nigella (or black onion) seeds
½ teaspoon turmeric
salt and pepper
100g natural goats’ milk yogurt
75ml semi-skimmed goats’ milk
3 tablespoon vegetable oil
20g goats’ butter – melted
Fresh coriander (optional)
Method:
In a large bowl, mix flour, nigella seeds, turmeric and seasoning together.
Add the yogurt and milk. Bring the mixture together to form a soft dough. Add additional flour if required.
Knead gently for 1-2 minutes.
Divide the mixture into 4. On a lightly floured surface, flatten and shape the naan breads.
Heat oil in a large frying pan over a medium heat, cook until golden and cooked through for about 10 minutes, turning once.
To serve, brush with melted butter and garnish with fresh coriander.
